Ari is the half Djinn half Efreeti son of Eli David. Ari was placed in the City of Brass by his father to act as as a sleeper agent. King Eli hoped he would one day secure the throne of the Efreet and Ari did not disappoint murdering the former sultan and assuming his place as Grand Sultan of the Efreet . As an Efreet he can plane shift in and out of the city circumventing its tight security and cruel guards. He has proven an ally to Stallac and his friends most recently helping them escape from the city after they rescued his half sister Ziva David. It is believed he was unaware of the plot by the grand vizier to alter reality with a rune of creation.
