Welcome to the Olde World. The Olde World is set in a Gothic Steampunk world at what seems to be the end of a ten year war between the forces of Chaos (Orcs, Dark Elves and followers of the Chaos gods) and The Empire and its allies (Humans of the Empire, Dwarves, Halflings and Elves). The story begins one month after a twin tailed comet was seen in the night sky and crashed into the City of the Damned, Mordheim, upon investigation Empire Military and Priests of Sigmar found four survivors fighting off hordes of undead. Once rescued the four (Tamsin, Geminius, Karver and Mr. Key) did not remember how they got to the city or the comet, only the undead coming for them and fighting for their lives. The survivors did remember they knew each other, that they had recently rescued Geminius and they had fought an Orc raiding party, but everything else else was blank and even the mages and clerics could not break through the memory loss. Something was wrong though the survivors felt a loss, a pull back towards the cursed city and now after healing and being debriefed the survivors along with three guardians make their way back towards Mordheim to fill in the blanks and see why it is they are being pulled back towards the City of the Damned.

This is the synopsis for the start of the game on Friday. The seven of us will be traveling south by train from Bechafen the Capital of Ostermark to the abandoned station near Mordheim the former Capital of Ostermark. Sal, Joey and Tommy are accompanying the survivors back to Mordheim and are members of the Ostermark military, either full timers or volunteers for the current war effort.

The twin tailed comet the signaled our arrival in Mordheim was an auspicious sign, one that happened once before and in its wake destroyed Mordheim damning it and leaving it in its current state. On the other hand the twin tailed comet is the symbol of the god Sigmar, Patron Saint of the Empire, its first King and currently the most revered god in the Empire. Some see the survivors as signs from Sigmar that the war will turn in their favor while others see their non human appearance and say the Empire is doomed.
